A Prayer for a Little Home

God send us a little home;
To come back to when we roam.
Wooden floors & fluted tiles;
Wide windows, a view for miles.
Red firelight & deep chairs;
Small white beds upstairs.
Great talk in little nooks;
Soft colors, rows of books.

One picture on each wall;
Not many things at all.
God send us a little ground;
Tall trees stand 'round.
Homely flowers in fertile sod;
Overhead, thy stars, O God.
God bless thee when winds blow,
Our home and all we know.

Tyler has been traveling a lot the past few weeks and my favorite thing when he gets home is watching his face as he comes home and looks around at our home and I can see his happiness.  Mostly he loves that we are here but he also loves our crazy pumpkins, our comfy sofas, and all of the cozy little touches that make this house our home.  I love that he appreciates things like that and always compliments me on how "home-y" our house feels.
Counting my Blessings...
